“The Next Stop” unfolds in a liminal subway where time doesn’t move and the passengers aren’t quite alive.

Enid, a reserved woman in her twenties, wakes up inside this uncanny train with no recollection of how she got there. Each encounter with Irene, a grieving mother; Thomas, a man drowning in guilt; Effie, a young girl caught between hope and memory; and Damian, a husband learning forgiveness, mirrors a stage of grief she must pass through herself.

As the journey continues, Enid begins to question the nature of the subway, its passengers, and her own place within it. When the lights go out and she remains alone, Enid must decide whether to keep waiting for what’s now gone or to take the final step toward acceptance and peace.
